Cord is probably the most gentle crocodile you will ever meet. In contrary to his relatives from the Nile, he is a vegetarian, and he absolutely loves to to cuddle with his human friends. Nevertheless, like all crocs he is rather obsessed with rivers and would love to become a skipper when he grows older. I couldn‘t buy him a boat so far, so the least I could do to make him happy was to fit him out with a striped sailors sweater and a cool cap.

Lots of pictures and a step-by-step explanation make for lots of knitting fun. The instructions have a total of 12 pages plus a technique appendix. Please look at the PDF before printing - you probably don't need all the pages!
LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY
If you have a tiny bit of knitting experience, perhaps even knitting socks, then Cord is quite easy to knit. But even beginners who are tired of simple scarves and shawls will soon be able to cuddle up with their crocodile thanks to the very detailed instructions.
PLEASE MIND: The animal is knitted in the ROUND, there is no instruction for flat knitting!
I wish you happy knitting!

Knit as tight as possible, so the stuffing will not show. A good gauge for the yarn mentioned below would be:
27 stitches x 38 rows = 10 x 10 cm = 4 x 4 inches
Of course you can use any yarn you want (or you have left over). With the gauge shown above CORD stands approx 37 cm = 15 inches high (without cap).
