My girlfriend and I were in the High Arctic in February (and of course, our cuddly polar bear came along too!)—and to really take in these fantastic experiences, we’re heading to the Museum of Ethnology in Hamburg on Sunday. There’s an Arctic exhibition there :-))))
I’m meeting up with my mom in town tomorrow, just like I do every Saturday. Other than that, I’m working on a new pattern. Since the weather’s supposed to be pretty lousy, I’ll probably be spending most of Sunday lounging on the couch. ;-)
PARTY!! My son is having his 10th birthday party. You have to celebrate your first double-digit birthday in a big way with friends.
We’re celebrating at a cabin in the woods with a campfire, archery, and a mud fight—since rain is in the forecast, that’s bound to happen.
And on Sunday, we’ll rest up after the party. In the morning, we’ll go to church for children’s Mass, and in the afternoon, Grandma and Grandpa are coming over.
I also want to do some needlework. Let’s see what ends up on my needle!?
I’m going to get my garden shed ready for spring and read a book. My friend is coming over this afternoon, and Sunday will probably be a day for cleaning out the basement… not fun, but it has to be done sometimes.
We’re going to Berlin from tomorrow through Monday. Too bad the weather isn’t cooperating. There are six of us: my husband, my in-laws, and my parents. I’m looking forward to it.
On Sunday, my dad and I are going to slip away and catch an ice hockey game. I’m really looking forward to that. It’ll be nice to finally do something alone with Dad again.
I’m helping my daughters study for school.
Somehow, there’s just more and more material and practice exercises, and we have to practice and study on the weekend, too.
Well, at least the weather’s bad, so it’s a little easier that way.
Later, I’ll finish crocheting two commissioned pieces.
Best wishes, and have a great weekend, everyone!
Karin
I’m recovering from my recurring cold in Altes Land… yay!
Of course, I’ve brought along a few crochet projects so I don’t get bored in this awful weather.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
Best regards, Marlies
I’m starting today with the white wool chicken; hopefully the fringed wool will arrive in the mail tomorrow.
Then I’ll make an egg cup chicken and maybe a budgie.
Your patterns are always so great—all the projects turn out wonderfully.
I don’t think the instructions for the wool chickens are written as well as those for the budgies.
I’ll have to try harder to get it right.
Wishing everyone a wonderful, creative Sunday.
Best regards, Hansi
I also had the weekend off, and I really made it cozy with my sweetheart. We slept in, had a hearty breakfast with rolls, eggs, and salmon.
In the evening, we watched a romantic movie with chips and cider (a sparkling mixed drink).
Since we both have hobbies, we each work on our own projects, and at the end, we look over each other’s work.
So everyone has their own space.
The weather wasn’t great today, but otherwise we go on long walks or bike rides. There’s plenty to explore in the beautiful countryside here.
I also finished one of my unfinished projects: my crocheted jacket. I still need to upload a photo.
Wishing everyone a great start to the week and lots of wonderful ideas.
Best, Andrea
