All you need is a little time and a few leftover cotton yarn scraps :-)

The pattern contains over 60 photos/drawings and explains in detail how you can crochet the egg cozy—even as a beginner (with basic knowledge).

You need:

• Cotton yarn (115m/50g), white approx. 5–10g (for body + head)
  colorful leftovers for mane, tail + decoration
• some stuffing for the head
• some black embroidery thread for embroidering the eyes

The scarf is secured not with a knot, but with a pull-through opening where you can loosely pull one end of the scarf through. If your child gets caught on something, the scarf will come loose because there is no tight knot.

My crocheted cowl is perfect for a weekend on the sofa or for a short trip.


The pattern is worked over two rows with double crochet and chain stitches. I crocheted it, for example, with Schachenmayr Tahiti, yardage 280 m/50 g, hook size 4, using 50 g to get a size of approx. 58 cm in circumference and 29 cm high. Of course, you can also crochet the cowl with any other yarn with a similar yardage.

And maybe you can show off your new accessory at dinner on Sunday evening.

Here’s a weekend full of fun! And not just this one. Mimi and her friends can be customized however you like.
