Dear users, dear authors,
January has somehow flown by and is almost over already. What craft projects did you finish in January, and which ones do you absolutely need to finish by the end of January?
Let me know. How’s your crafting going right now? Do you have enough yarn, fabric, or paper?
There’s definitely plenty of yarn in my basket. And after finishing a cowl last week, I still have a pillow I’ve started, a pair of socks, and another hat lying there. So I’ve got plenty of variety.
I’m currently crocheting a granny-style table runner. I think I’ll have it finished by the end of January.
I still have plenty of yarn in my closet, too. We’ll see what I crochet next. I still have lots of patterns from CP that I haven’t started yet (I always have such a hard time deciding).
I finished crocheting quite a few things in January:
2 tablecloths/table runners
1 music box
10 budgies
2.5 unicorns (okay, the half unicorn isn’t finished yet *laughs*)
A few little butterflies
2 baby hats
1 toddler hat
And then I still have a few unfinished projects lying around...
As you can see, things are going well for me at the moment with my yarn and crochet hooks :)
I have plenty of yarn (which, “unfortunately,” doesn’t stop me from constantly looking for new yarn and buying more every now and then...)
I have plenty of yarn, just not enough hands—and a son who changes his mind every hour :-)
Right now, I’m spending more time unraveling and redoing things than actually making progress… but starting today, nothing else is getting changed, since the project is now lying next to me with what feels like 100 pins in it.
Nina, you’ve been so productive. And you did all that while taking care of a little one? Do you even get any sleep at night? That’s amazing. I’ll have to stop by your shop again soon.
I have plenty of yarn and plenty of ideas, but just not enough time. In January, I only crocheted 1 monster and 1 hat, and sewed 2 shopping bags. Right now I’m sewing a wallet (but I have to go out to eat with a friend, so I’ll have to stop for now)—it’ll be finished tomorrow (hopefully)—and then I want to sew a handbag tomorrow as well. I’m excited to see how it turns out.
I also have three crochet projects in the works: a mouse (but that doesn’t have to be finished until April, so I’ll only be crocheting it on the train), a scarf (which might be finished by the end of January), and a summery poncho. (I’ve been working on that one since September, but it’s coming along.) My next big project might be a crocheted curtain… We’ll see.
@zwergnase: You’re so hard at work. I can’t hold a candle to you, though. Right now, I’m using up my leftover yarn to make bag charms, keychains, and lucky pigs. I wanted to build up a little “stockpile” so I’d always have a nice gift on hand. Unfortunately (unfortunately???????????) my little creatures are being snatched right out of my hands. I can’t crochet fast enough. But it makes me happy when I find people who love my creations so much.
