Anguis is the Latin word for snake. Because of the planned pooling, the storage basket reminds me a little of snakeskin, so I thought the name was quite fitting.  

This technique is ideal for hand-dyed sock yarn with a medium-length color repeat. Anyone who likes to play a little with the yarn and colors will have a lot of fun with pooling. Are there any more creative folks here?

Being creative means making something beautiful yourself. I have a great idea for that: Why not simply make the buttons for your handmade projects yourself? You decide the look (though you are dependent on a silicone mold), quantity, color, and design. Feel free to take a look at my example photos. In the photos you can see all the things I have already made my own buttons for: for children's clothing, for my felted shoes, as game pieces for my crocheted checkers game or Nine Men's Morris game, or the Mensch ärgere dich nicht game, as decorations to sew on, etc.

You can invite the children or grandchildren over and then spend a lovely afternoon being creative together. It's fun and you end up with lovely results that you can use again. Here is the pattern: Make your own buttons.

I think my 3 “board games” deserve an extra introduction. Everyone knows them in cardboard, but who has crocheted board games? They are hand-crocheted, the buttons are handmade, and each pattern also includes a crochet pattern for a bag for storage and transport. You can easily take them on vacation, squeeze them into a backpack, and wash them if needed.
They could also be the games that live only at the grandparents’ house and are waiting for you—no other grandchild has anything like that.
