Time for Crafts: Time-Intensive + Wonderful Patterns

this thread is for patterns that take a lot of time to complete. They don’t necessarily have to be difficult. The more time they take, the longer you’ll enjoy them. :-)

These socks have a very special heel that is super easy to knit.
Socks take a little time, but this pattern is so much fun.

Material required: 100g of variegated yarn, e.g., from Gründl socks. Color of your choice. 
You need to know: knitting in the round with a set of double-pointed needles. You need to know knit and purl stitches. For the cuff, you also need to pick up stitches from the strand between stitches and do slip-over decreases. Have fun knitting and enjoy your warm feet. Janas-Handarbeiten.

This great bag is brand-new in my shop.
It does take a few hours/days to make this bag.
But I think it’s definitely worth it.

In the pattern, I have described everything step by step and included lots of pictures so you can definitely follow along successfully. The finished bag will measure about 25x20 cm when using the same yarn and a 3.5 mm hook. Materials

• ONEline Linie 175 Saphier (double strand) approx. 200 g
• 3.5 mm crochet hook (or as desired)
• Bag base (made of leather or another material for stability, approx. 21x8 cm)
• Sewing needle
• Scissors
• Decorations of your choice (buttons)
• Key rings with carabiners for the bag handles

What you’ll make/use

• chain stitch 
• slip stitch 
• single crochet 
• crocheting in rounds
• crocheting in rows
• double crochet

With my Patchwork Technique Scarf you can really enjoy your beautiful yarn while knitting,

Time-intensive, wonderful, and varied: the Mimikry



This is a Möbius, without (!) a Möbius cast-on and without sewing, that still has the beautiful gradient of a cake starting from the middle. It is also nearly a mirror image. You only need to know the basic techniques and bring a little skill at the beginning.

You’ll need these materials at home:
•200 m solid-color 4-ply gradient yarn
•750–900 m 4-ply gradient yarn
•Alternatively, sock yarn or yarn in sock-weight thickness
•3.5 mm circular knitting needle (80–100 cm)
•1 stitch marker
•yarn needle
•scissors

How about a crocheted train?
How much time you spend on it also depends on you, because you can crochet as many wagons as you like. The wagons are attached to each other with Velcro. The train is sturdy and can take a lot. The little train driver can even take it to bed at night. And little dolls (e.g. Playmobil) can ride in it too.
The individual parts are not difficult to crochet, but you should set aside some time, since you have to crochet many individual pieces.

The finished measurements after blocking are approx. 180 x 73 cm.

No one else will have anything like it, and it’s sure to be admired and is something very special. For example, a grandma could make it for her grandchild. When they come to visit, this original Ludo game is always taken out and played.

Oh, I love these colorful French knitting spool rugs. They fit perfectly in any child's room and put you in a good mood—when you look at them, live with them, and make them! The rug size is variable.

You need a French knitting spool with a crank, lots of leftover yarn of the same thickness, 1 crochet hook, and plenty of perseverance.
An ideal beginner project that is a lot of fun but requires a bit of diligence.
We crochet a grid from chain stitches, single crochet, and double crochet.
Then we thread in French knitting spool cords. I show you exactly how everything is done on 28 illustrated pages. The amount of material needed depends on the size of the rug you want. Leftovers can also
be used very well, because per French knitting spool strand
we only need 5 g of one color.

If you enjoy investing a bit more time in a truly beautiful knitted piece, the pattern for the “Fanyamar” Ponchola is just right for you.

What is a Ponchola?
A Ponchola is a combination of a stole and a poncho. With a little “trick,” this gorgeous stole can be very easily transformed into a dreamy poncho. Guaranteed to be an eye-catcher!

Fanyamar was designed for lace yarns, because that is how its delicate and airy character is shown off best. Even so, the stole also looks wonderfully beautiful in thicker yarns such as sock yarn, for example. However, the chosen yarn should definitely not be any thicker than that.

Required materials:

• approx. 150 grams of yarn (approx. 750 meters) lace yarn (e.g. Lace Seta / Lace Seta degradé by Lana Grossa, Laceball by Schoppel)
• circular knitting needle size 4, I recommend a cable system with interchangeable needle tips
• kitchen scale
• stitch markers if needed
• sewing needle for weaving in the ends
• scissors
• if needed, a crochet hook and beads for the cord, or a piece of thin satin ribbon so the stole can be worn as a poncho

The stole is started at one corner with only 3 stitches. It gets its shape through regular increases and decreases. The pattern includes stitch counts for 2 different sizes.
The narrower version measures approx. 60 x 160 cm after blocking.
The pattern has 12 pages and includes a written-out version as well as charts and a schematic drawing.

Knitted Blanket Naturell - crocheted border - easy

Time is relative—but it does take a little while until this blanket is finished:

This knitted blanket is pure relaxation even while knitting and quite easy.
It consists of 9  squares that are crocheted together. Finished size: approx. 130 cm x 130 cm.

The short PDF pattern consists of 2 pages and includes 3 images from the image gallery (a knitting/crochet course is not included, but a helpful link tip is).

These skills are enough:

• Knitting: casting on stitches, purl and knit stitches, binding off stitches.
• Crochet: chain stitches, single crochet, slip stitches.
• Crocheting pieces together.

We need:
Hauswolle by Schoeller+Stahl (60% wool, 40% PAC, 100 g – 200 m, for needle size 3.5 – 4.0); gauge according to the ball band 18.5 sts x 27 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm;
or Biolana by Mondial (100% organic sheep’s wool, 50 g – 100 m, for needle size 4.5 – 5.5),
gauge according to the ball band 15 sts x 20 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm.
1000 g in natural white or similar / 200 g in olive green. Measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends,
Used here: knitting needle size 5.0 (so the blanket becomes cozier) and
crochet hook size 4.0 for crocheting together and edging.
