Who would like to learn how to knit socks?
You can find this PDF pattern(s) here:
Sock-knitting course using baby newborn socks
This is an illustrated
sock-knitting course for baby socks size 15
and consists of a total of
4 PDF files:
the main pattern, handwritten sketches,
baby sock chart for sizes 15–20 and a
sock chart for sizes 22–47.
It also includes a
baby mitten pattern shown in short form, since parts of the baby sock pattern can be used for it.
Don’t be alarmed! It is harder to describe the process than it is to knit the socks.
Materials needed:
approx. 15 g 4-ply sock yarn for the baby socks, approx. 10 g 4-ply sock yarn for the baby mittens,
for adult socks up to size 44: 100 g sock yarn; if larger, 150 g is required.
set of double-pointed needles 2.5, tape measure, scissors, yarn needle
The baby socks can also be embroidered, for example, and used in various ways—not just as baby socks—e.g. as “packaging” for cash gifts or sweets, as an Advent calendar, as a keychain (proportionally reduced looks prettier), and more.
Premature babies need warm little feet too. For the very tiniest little feet and other uses, I have this PDF pattern available:
Knitting pattern for preemie socks / baby/doll socks / keychain
The finished socks may of course be given as gifts or sold. The usual copyright applies to the patterns.
Wishing you lots of wonderful socks!
