I want to learn it all... but when?

I’d love to take a class where you learn how to make thread buttons

And I’d also like to take a closer look at hairpin lace crochet. There are various posts about it here on the blog, so I’m hoping for lots of expert knowledge. Birte started this thread, and that made me very curious. Hairpin Lace Crochet – Chat Corner Forum

I’d love to learn weaving on a real loom, but unfortunately there isn’t anything like that around here

Best regards, Inge

It’s not exactly something I want to learn, but I’d love to try making something with granny squares again—I’ve never done that before.

Knitting sweaters—I just don’t have the patience. And I don’t dare try it. I have books on the subject at home.

I’d like to learn how to sew “properly” at some point—with tips and tricks, sewing patterns, etc., and how to make buttonholes

I’d still like to learn hairpin crochet and tatting.

Thread buttons sound interesting, too. There’s even a class on that near me now.

But first, it’s time to continue with the needle lace project.

Spinning wheels are expensive—are there any online courses? I don’t have the space, and I’ll probably lose interest quickly.

I learned tatting back in school—I really enjoyed it.
Ten years ago, I bought another shuttle and got back into it.

I don’t have the opportunity—as far as I know, there’s nothing here that teaches loom weaving, and I don’t have the space to set up such a monster :-( :-)

Best regards, Inge

Here’s an answer to a few questions: to learn how to spin, search online for Chantimanou (Chantimanou handSpinnerey courses). She has made videos on almost everything, especially spinning and weaving, but also other things.
You don’t have to think too big when it comes to a loom; I’d love to buy the “Erika,” but I already have a table loom from Ashford.
I bought my spinning wheel on eBay classifieds, but you have to be really careful because the inexpensive ones are just for decoration and—no matter what the sellers say—aren’t suitable for spinning and can’t be modified either. How do I know that, you ask…? It’s better to look at the well-known manufacturers.

I’m held back by a lack of time and patience.

Is there any simple technique you can try out without having to invest a lot of money or time?

My husband brought home a book with instructions for making knotted bracelets from the public bookshelf.

I’m going to give that a try. We’ve got plenty of yarn, after all.
