Hairpin Lace Crochet

Hello dear crafting friends,
 hairpin lace crochet is a beautiful handicraft technique, but unfortunately still not very well known. It can be used to create truly special pieces, from airy scarves and shawls to decorative home accessories and even unique garments. I myself have already made several hairpin lace crochet projects and am always delighted with the results. That makes me all the more excited to see your own creations!
Do you already have experience with hairpin lace crochet? Do you have to block the shawls to show off the pattern so beautifully?

I’ve never tried hairpin lace crochet myself, and I don’t know anyone whose shoulder I could look over.

Ich würde eher "in Vergessenheit geratene Häkeltechnik" sagen, da es Gabelhäkelei seit dem 19. Jahrhundert oder sogar noch früher gibt.
Bislang konnte ich mich mit dieser Technik nicht anfreunden, obwohl tolle Sachen daraus entstehen können, wie an deinen Sachen zu erkennen ist.

I did indeed block the shawls so that the patterns really stand out. However, that’s not a must. I’ve also made shawls that I didn’t block, and they’re still very beautiful.

Yes, it’s actually an old craft technique. But I don’t know exactly when or where it originated either.

Für die oben vorgestellten Tücher habe ich die Anleitungen selbst entworfen und ausgearbeitet. Diese sind auch in meinem Store erhältlich.Mich würde einfach einmal interessieren, ob es generell Interesse am Gabelhäkeln gibt. Leider ist die Resonanz bisher eher gering, was ich sehr schade finde. Dabei macht das Gabelhäkeln unglaublich viel Spaß und es wäre wirklich traurig, wenn diese schöne Technik nach und nach in Vergessenheit geraten würde.Ich freue mich über jeden Austausch und jede Rückmeldung 😊

I received a lot of craft supplies from estates a long time ago. Among them are a few hairpin lace forks (is that what they’re called?).
That’s why I’ve thought about this quite a bit. Maybe I’ll give it a try now that you’ve sparked this topic here.

The only thing that worries me: isn’t it a real fiddly process?
