Resolutions are a tricky thing—first, things turn out differently, and second, not the way you expect. I’m pretty happy with myself and what I’m doing, and I’d like to be able to say the same thing at the end of next year.
I have only one resolution: not to make any resolutions at all, because as Veronika so beautifully writes, things always turn out differently than you think they will—but that’s life :-)))
I don’t wait for a specific date to make my resolutions—
if something is really important to me, I tackle it right away.
That’s why I’m starting the new year with curiosity and an open mind toward new experiences.
I have just one resolution: to get vaccinated against shingles, because it’s really hit me hard—I’ve been in pain for 3.5 weeks and the medication has left me feeling pretty “fuzzy-headed.”
@Leila06 - I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you achieve your resolution. If it works out, I’d love to hear your secret.
I started two new projects this year. A sewn tree for the Christmas decorations (as everyone knows, after Christmas is before Christmas) - project successfully completed.
And I’m still embroidering a snowman - almost done.
Another resolution of mine: to finish everything and not produce any new UFOs. Reducing my UFOs - I don’t think that’s going to work for me.
