Crafts You Don’t Like at All / Making Sewing Pieces Together Easier

which part of crafting do you not like at all? 
Sewing pieces together is often mentioned in this context. How can you make it easier?
 

Weave in the ends!!!

Exactly! I don’t like that either. If I pull myself together and weave in those one or two ends right away, it actually goes okay. But if I forget or don’t feel like it, and then I have a zillion threads waiting for me.... *shudder*

I like to knit pieces that don’t require any seaming.
For example, raglan knitted from the top down. Everything is knitted in the round, so there are no seams.

For a jacket with a Norwegian pattern, I’ve also used the steek method before. So, I knitted everything in the round, left a few stitches in the center front for the steek, and later secured them there with a sewing machine, cut them open, folded the edges over, and knitted on the bands. (It took some courage, but it turned out great.)

I also find it best to weave in ends right away by knitting them in inconspicuously as I go.

I really don’t like sewing pieces together. 😩 I’m always worried about ruining a beautifully crocheted or knitted piece.
For knitted pieces that I’ll have to sew together later, I now knit a knot selvedge, which is quite firm. Later I sew them together using backstitch.
