Knitting or crocheting a seed stitch pattern?

Are you currently working on a nice seed stitch project?

Dear Josefa,

I only know the “true” seed stitch from knitting. There is a small seed stitch, where 1 knit stitch and 1 purl stitch alternate, and the large seed stitch, where 2 stitches knit and purl alternate offset from each other.

Seed stitch is a very forgiving pattern, as it looks the same on both sides and a mistake is also immediately noticeable visually.

I’m not knitting that right now. I’m currently crocheting a bag in moss stitch or linen stitch. Pretty too, right?

I really like the pearl stitch, too. I’ve often used it as a border on blankets. It doesn’t curl up. It’s also a nice option for shawls.
