Upcycling Leftover Yarn: Do You Have a Lot of Leftover Yarn?

Dear community,
Do you have a lot of leftover yarn right now? What do you do with it?

I don’t have that many leftover yarn scraps anymore because I’ve been working more with fabric. But of course, I still have some wool. I like to knit the thicker leftover yarn scraps into blankets—you can always use blankets. I usually turn the thinner leftover yarn scraps into doll clothes.

I’m currently knitting a hat out of leftover yarn, but I have a feeling that won’t actually make the pile any smaller ;-)))
Just like with fabric—my scrap box keeps growing, and the pile never seems to get any smaller ;-)))))

I was actually planning to make a giant jellyfish or octopus out of my scraps, stuffed with a pillow.
But I recently received a box as a gift, so now I’m making lots of little octopuses out of the scraps for a charity drive.

At what point is it still a ball of yarn, and at what point are they just scraps?

I have tons of yarn scattered all over the house, and I don’t even want to count it..... 

I also have plenty of cotton left over, but that always ends up becoming amigurumi—so I can just get started on a whim whenever I feel like it.
I also have leftover sock yarn that wouldn’t be enough for a pair anymore, but when mixed together, it makes for a colorful pair, so I’ll keep those too.
And I’ve crocheted a patchwork blanket out of all my acrylic yarn scraps—the patches are crocheted, but not sewn together yet—but at least all the scraps are gone now.
