What is the oldest yarn in your stash? Can you find a project for it?

How’s your stash of wool holding up?

Mine is running out. I’m knitting a patchwork blanket out of all my leftover acrylic yarn, and I’m almost done.
I always have plenty of cotton on hand, but it never gets very old—it’s always being used up. Now I’m quickly making a few more amigurumi, because I’ve ordered LaCritza’s Advent calendar again, and I need to make room!
I have a pretty old ball of fairly thick black acrylic yarn—definitely for needle size 6 or larger—and I have no idea where it came from or what I could do with it; it’s just sitting here so I can tie something up with it someday. 😂

Hmmm, maybe. It’s definitely old enough for a classic car license plate! :-)

Hi, I’ve got an old skein like that lying around, too. It’s from my mom. It’s about 25 years old now. A spool of thin yarn in dusty pink. Not my color at all.
It’s for needle sizes 1 to 1.5. Maybe even a size 2 needle.
But the big spool the yarn’s wound on is great.😁
