Blouse jazzed up :-)

I've had this blouse for several years and still like wearing it, but over time the sleeves got a bit too short for me, because I don't like it when you can see my thick upper arms and those *bat wings*. So it hung unworn in the closet for quite a while, but I always knew I’d do something to the sleeves so I could wear it again. The other day I told my daughter about it because she saw the blouse lying in the sewing room and asked what I was planning to do with it. I told her I wanted to order some lace for the sleeves to make them longer. She said, don’t order anything, I have exactly what you need for that in my closet. Yesterday she gave me her lace, and today it’s already sewn on; now it just needs to go into the washer and spin around a few times.

Perfect! It’s like it was made just for this!

I also think the lace sleeves give the blouse a light, summery look now. Without the flounce sleeves, it would look like a T-shirt; now it looks like a blouse. A little bit playful. It’s so nice that your daughter had the perfect lace.
