Popular motifs with children

Dear users, dear authors,
which motifs are always popular with children? 

Since I don’t have any children—and therefore no grandchildren either—I’m not really up to date on this. But there used to be a real dinosaur craze, and I think unicorns are still very popular with girls.

For example, one of my grandchildren loved giraffes and owls as a child—you could make him happy if he got something with one of those animals on it, or even both. My youngest granddaughter loved the Kikaninchen, the Grüffolo, and penguins; she wasn’t interested at all in things like Blinkblink, etc. I guess it also depends on how parents introduce these things to their children and let them get caught up in the hype.

My daughter loves foxes. That’s why I’ve already created patterns for a fox-shaped bag, fox-themed placemats (and a table runner), and a bookmark ;-)
