219 patterns. 🙈
I recently sorted through them and organized them into folders. Since I also sell finished items, I removed everything that’s not allowed for sale.
I only have 28 on my watchlist. I just took a look at it. These days, most of the patterns on my list are sewing projects that I’m eager to try. I only choose one to buy when I’m actually about to start the project. Everything has to come together at the right time. I don’t buy patterns just to stock up.
I only have 12 on my watchlist right now, but I often buy patterns in bulk, so there are many more lurking in my downloads that are still waiting to be worked on. Every now and then I rummage through them, and then I remember what I wanted to make and get started. Right now, it’s a crocheted sweater, but there are also quite a few sewing patterns in there for when I get the urge to sew again.
I only have 50 on my watchlist and 58 in my downloads.... I actually cleaned things up recently... I’m tidying up “everywhere” right now. My yarn stash is also shrinking like crazy. If I tried to knit or crochet “everything”.... I’d definitely have to live to be 120 years old 😁
That’s what I have to hear from my husband whenever he sees my stash of yarn, books, and fabrics: “How old do you think you’re going to live to be?” Ha, a woman can’t hesitate for even a second—the answer comes out like a shot: “145 years,” and just like that, everything’s settled! 🤣🤣
I had to chuckle when I was new here at CP a few years ago and some people back then mentioned having over 100 or more patterns in response to this question… oops, now there are exactly 596 on my watchlist😳🤭😇… I’m going to take some time during my vacation to go through this list and try to weed it out, ahem… It includes everything from neck warmers to sweaters to amigurumi—a real mix of everything.
....when my husband said that to me, I would never have thought of cleaning it up—if only out of spite 😁
Somehow, something “inside me” has changed, I rarely buy yarn anymore and have donated or sold everything in my stash that I know I “probably won’t use”—it’s better off with others who’ll actually knit with it.... Now I still have a box of sock yarn (larger scraps, hand-dyed), but I just can’t quite bring myself to part with it...
Hi, I currently have 106 patterns saved. There are sooo many great ideas here. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough time to try them all out. Plus, I’m not exactly the fastest.
But I’m definitely going to try out quite a few of them.
I have 251 patterns saved on my watchlist. I always find so many great new patterns here. Unfortunately, I just don’t have much time to work through them all. I’m looking forward to retirement in about two years. Then I’ll be able to work through quite a few of them. But new patterns are always being added, too. I guess I’ll just have to live to be a hundred 😆😉
Oh, that makes me soooo happy to hear!! I currently have 38 on my watchlist, but I’m still working my way through the many downloads I have as well. That’s partly because I’ve knitted that one shawl 10 times by now—there’s such great sock yarn for it—and socks are pretty much the only thing I DON’T knit.
My husband also shakes his head at my huge stash of yarn, which still needs to be replenished whenever I start a new project. I’d already started to think I wasn’t quite normal… but I am—we all just love what we consider to be the most wonderful little pastime in the world! I’m not alone! Have fun with your projects, and warmest regards from Andrea
Hi, Andrea, I know this is crazy, but I’ve been doing this for 7 years and 11 months now. That reassures me a little. What’s worse than the files, though, is that I’ve also printed out a whole lot of them—a whopping 35 folders. But I enjoy it.
I hope you have lots and lots of fun with your crafts.
Best regards, Petra
Wow, those are some crazy numbers you’re mentioning. I actually try to only add something to my watchlist when I know I’ll be able to crochet something from the pattern soon. I rarely have more than 10–12 items on mine.
