Handcrafts 2023: show your most beautiful projects here

Dear users, dear authors,
I hope you were able to finish many delightful handmade projects in 2023. If you like, you can show pictures of your finished works here in the thread and tell us how the making process went. If you have UFOs (= unfinished objects / handmade projects), you can of course show them here too and maybe get tips and motivation to finish them.

It would be great if you could rate all purchased / downloaded patterns. Maybe you’d also like to give some attention to your watchlist / wishlist and perhaps download a few more patterns or remove some? Of course, you can also top up your store credit account so you can always shop with a 5% discount.

My favorite craft project—unfortunately, I don’t have anything this year that really stands out to me. Everything that came off the needle was special.

So here’s my latest finished project. A Christmas gift that I managed to finish on the 24th. I had to frog a lot, kept miscounting over and over, and the yarn wasn’t lying right on the back. It had been too long since I’d done C2C. I had to weave in a lot of ends at the end. But my cousin was very happy with the sheep.

She’d been asking me for a long time if I could crochet a doily like this for her. It just took me a while to find the right yarn for it, because it had to be a matte cotton yarn—and she specified the colors. 

Now all we need is the right weather for this cable-knit scarf.

My favorite knitting project this year was this Aegyptian Feather jacket. After almost 10 months and a few unraveling sessions at the beginning, it’s finally finished. Since I’ve lost quite a bit of weight this year, it’s a little loose on me now. But that’s okay—I’ll wear it anyway. 

The temperature blanket has been with me all year—tomorrow I’ll work on the last row. It turned out great, but it shows a surprisingly moderate year—mild winters and not too hot in the summer. I think that makes us quite an exception here. Tomorrow I’ll also post a picture of the finished blanket.

My best—and most challenging—project was my cardigan made from cotton yarn; I’ll never knit one like that again so quickly :-) ;-) It’s warm, which is good, and I love it too—that’s just how it is.
