If you have a little time between the holidays for a somewhat larger project, this guardian angel blanket might be just right for you. The motif is created using only knit and purl stitches. Each row is written out stitch by stitch in the pattern, so even as a beginner you can give it a try.

Maybe you even have the leisure to explore a new knitting technique. Then this basic double-face course is just right. With double-face knitting, you have two “front sides”; a two-color motif is knitted that appears mirrored and in reversed colors on the other side. Hearts are a great motif when you want to show someone how much you care about them. They’re also not hard to crochet. Today I’m showing you 3 affordable patterns from my shop that you can crochet using leftover yarn. This way, you can relax between Christmas and New Year’s and whip up a few pretty little trinkets to bring a little joy to someone close to your heart when the occasion arises.



You can crochet two heart-shaped bookmarks using this pattern. I used leftover yarn in the Christmas colors of red and gold. You only need a small scrap of each color.


 
The heart within a heart measures about 10 x 11 cm and is crocheted in two contrasting colors. Use it as a cutlery pouch, coaster, gift tag, or pincushion.



For all of you who feel the cold: a cute heart-shaped cover for a grain pillow. The grain pillow inside is briefly heated in the microwave. The pillow cover has two different sides: the front is crocheted in a bobble stitch pattern, and the back is crocheted in smooth single crochet. This causes the heat from the grain pillow to be released at different rates. The heart measures approximately 20 x 20 cm.
