Here’s a nice, sturdy version of a storage basket. My mom was very happy to receive it for Mother’s Day. It’s now in her bathroom. Great for storing small items like nail polish, lipstick, hair ties, and so on—and keeping them out of sight.
Also suitable for beginners!
Small storage basket: 7 cm wide / 5 cm tall Large storage basket: 12 cm wide / 6 cm tall Materials

• Yarn, needle size 3–4 (e.g., Catania Grande) – pure cotton
• Yarn, needle size 2.5–3.5 (double strand) (e.g., Catania Color) – pure cotton
• Needle sizes 4.0 and 3.5
• Scissors
• Button (preferably for a chef’s jacket)—you’ll find where to buy these in my pattern

You should be able to do the following

• chain stitch
• Single crochet
• slip stitch
• Half double crochet
• Double crochet
