Crocheted openwork patterns are perfect for making small lamps.

The Guardian Angel Nightlight comforts and soothes all children who don’t like falling asleep in the dark. The crocheted angel stands over an LED light that can be operated with a remote control. The soft light (with color changes too, if desired) shines through the openings of the openwork pattern in the angel’s little dress. This means it is not too bright, allowing for peaceful sleep. I used various leftover yarn for the angel. It is about 20 cm tall.

I also crocheted an openwork pattern for these colorful lanterns. It is very simple, so these lanterns are also suitable for crochet beginners. They are also a great way to use up colorful leftover yarn. They are lit with an LED string light that you can attach inside the lanterns. Whether as a summer decoration on the patio or in winter for a lantern parade - these hand-crocheted lanterns are something very special!

Openwork patterns decoratively emphasize the holes between the stitches.

Lace Shawl for Beginners

For this decorative shawl or scarf, we knit with a gradient yarn made of soft wool. The color gradients come straight from the ball of yarn. For the pattern, 2 pattern rows alternate continuously. At the end, we block the finished shawl. I describe exactly how to do it.

You can wear the shawl open for festive occasions over a dress. This lets it show off all its splendor:

This is what the openwork pattern looks like when you get closer. A little bit of skin peeks through, which makes it especially attractive and sophisticated.

And here’s another view when you wear it knotted for everyday use: It is very, very light and delicate and drapes beautifully.

I hope you have lots of fun making it.
Warm regards from Ina

I’d like to show you a small soap pouch .
It can also be used as gift packaging for little things.
It can be crocheted from leftover yarn and has a drawstring.
Combine this pouch with a lovely piece of fragrant soap, and you already have a beautiful little gift for your next girls’ night or Secret Santa.
