Since I don’t really like wearing scarves but still want to keep my neck and throat warm, I designed this collar + scarf. It’s wonderful to wear under sweaters with wide necklines. I especially like that it’s versatile—it can be used sometimes as a warm collar and sometimes as a scarf.

The collar + scarf is very easy and quick to knit, even for beginners with the basic skills listed. It’s sure to be well received as a gift, too. I’ve already made several favorite people happy with it.

One of my absolute favorite pieces is the Double Loop. It’s quick to knit because it’s worked in a simple 2-color brioche stitch. Depending on your color choice, it always looks different. I’ve also given it as a Christmas gift many times, and it was always well received. It can be knitted with DK yarn or with sock-weight yarn; then it can also be worn as a shoulder warmer.

So many beautiful designs—it's hard to choose. I'll quickly add a suggestion of my own: a loop scarf that you can knit for the whole family. You can knit it with gradient yarn or in a solid color. It's quick to make and could become a lovely Christmas gift.
