Busy little helpers: are you hard-working in real life and with your crafts?

dear little helpers,
are you doing well? Are you keeping busy in real life and with your crafts too? 

Besides knitting, I’m not doing much else right now—I’m just glad I can still manage that much. But my jacket is slowly taking shape; I’m knitting the first sleeve :-)

The cleaning marathon is over, the renovation is finished—now I can get back to my crochet hooks; I’ve been neglecting them a bit lately.
And I have to pack a few packages, too—luckily, I’ve managed to get rid of quite a few things; I can’t keep all the crocheted animals, or we’d have to build an extension.

I’m actually very busy in my offline life right now.

My sister, who was in an accident, is planning to move into an accessible apartment soon (not that easy to find in this area, at least one larger than 50 m²), and I’m helping her declutter, getting things down from high cabinets, and hauling away what she doesn’t want to take with her.
She’s definitely the collecting type—last time, for example, I took home four travel bags full of fabric. And she’s threatened that there are a few other places where she has fabric stashed away.
We’ll see what I keep and where I’ll donate the rest…

My other sister has limited mobility in her hands after having cancer, and she gets tired easily… so I’m hosting her birthday party at our place on Saturday—that’ll be my gift to her.

I’m certainly not bored.

Claudia, that’s great and it’s really nice that you can help your sister like that. 

Right now, I’m also more focused on other things than on crafts. I’m working on a collar, but it’s coming along slowly. 

Claudia, then I hope everything works out just as you imagined. That’s a very nice gesture on your part. I’d do the same.

Right now, I’m continuing to crochet my mosaic blanket as much as my limited free time allows.
I also have a crochet commission for a colleague—she’s just become a great-grandmother.
I also need to finish up a few little things for my swap group. But I have the whole weekend to myself—it’s all mine. Bring it on, whatever comes my way.


I could only keep up with the forum here on my phone or tablet because my computer had given out. Now I have a new one. Three days without my laptop was pretty weird—but all my patterns are back too. Yay 😊

Claudia, I think it’s great that you’re standing up for your sisters like this. I wish you lots of strength for it, and hope you have a wonderful celebration.🎂

If the (sun)light allows it, I’m working on my Santa’s sleigh. There are so many little dark areas to cover with adhesive.  Otherwise, I’m switching back and forth between a crocheted window decoration and a few little Christmas trinkets.

Claudia, I wish you a wonderful birthday party and your sister the best of luck in her new apartment.
Right now, I’m still knitting the mini gloves with fingers for my granddaughter. Today I pulled out the needles again and unraveled them down to just below the thumb because I wasn’t happy with the shape. Now the first one is finished; I plan to take it with me the day after tomorrow when I go to babysit. Selina’s Christmas elf is still waiting for its head to be attached to its body, and the hairstyle and face are still missing, too. Besides that, I’d actually like to keep sorting through paper, since the schoolchildren are coming to collect it again on the 22nd, but I always feel like I’m moving too slowly...

For me, fall is here🍁🍂🍃... 



And winter ❄⛄ is setting in...
