Dear users, dear authors,
Have a great weekend, everyone. How are you all doing? What are you up to?

Thanks, Josefa—I wish the same for you and your loved ones, as well as for everyone else here. As always, we’ll be at home keeping ourselves busy—thankfully, we have more than enough hobbies to keep us occupied :-)
I have some knitting projects lying around that need to be finished, and I still have to work on a few embroidery pieces; I need a birthday gift for my godmother, who’ll be turning 87 at the end of the month, so as you can see, there’s plenty to do :-)

Best wishes, Inge

Have a great weekend, everyone.

We haven’t made any plans yet. I have a few rocks lying around here that I’d like to paint. We’ll figure out what to do with the rest of the time depending on the weather

Thank you so much—I wish the same for all of you.
Unfortunately, I have the early shift again this weekend, but after that I can devote myself to my hobby, or go dancing again on Sunday.

Thank you so much—have a wonderful weekend, everyone.

On Sunday, my nephew, his wife, and Carl are coming over again. The little one is almost 3 years old now, and it’s so much fun spending time with him. Since the weather was so great, they also visited us last Sunday and on Wednesday. We have a big yard where he can run around and play.

Other than that, I’m still working on my new pattern. Sweaters with cables in different sizes and patterns.

Tomorrow, someone from a landscaping company is coming by to see what needs to be done before winter sets in. Since my husband can’t do any work anymore, the heavy-duty gardening is just too much for me. We’re having someone else take care of that now.

So there’s always something going on. I’m enjoying the beautiful weather. As far as I’m concerned, it could stay like this until Christmas.

Yesterday I was at the fabric market... found lots of beautiful fabrics... they’re just waiting to be sewn...
My grandchildren are coming to visit today... So I’ll have to put off sewing until next week.

As for knitting, I’ve started a scarf—perfect for the evening while watching TV

I still have a few things to do in the garden before fall… Today I’m continuing to build a large rose arch out of branches… I already have the top and one side panel… I’m taking the branches from our little patch of woods… 🌳 because that needs to be taken care of, too…
To relax, I’m crocheting a romantic baby cardigan… 🧥

We’re spending the day at the pool today.

Since the weather has been so great this week, they decided on the spot to extend the season until tomorrow.

Now I’m just lazing around in the shade on the lawn, crocheting.....

Thank you, and have a great weekend, everyone!
Things are pretty much the same here as they are for Inge—we can’t go out anymore, at least not the two of us, but luckily we can keep ourselves busy just fine: reading, doing crafts, making things, enjoying good food, and so on.

Sollen and Spekulatius have been in the stores for a while now, the weather is supposed to get more autumnal soon, and time is always flying by anyway, so today I decided to do something practical and ordered this year’s Advent calendar—just like last year from LaCritza; that one was so great, I’m getting it again.

We were shopping at the flea market. We got a few games for the grandkids and a decorative teapot for me. Next year, I’ll plant something climbing in it and then put it outside on the steps.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Best regards, Ina

Yes, Veronika, I fell in love with it right away, too.

I saw two others at the flea market, but they weren’t as nice. And they had some kind of extension attached to the bottom—like a piece of pipe with a base.

A vendor then explained to me that in the old days, people used to place the kettles directly into the fire in the stove. There were rings on top, and that’s where the kettle went. That thing must have been red-hot at the bottom, right?

Anyway, my teakettle is the prettiest one, and it doesn’t have to go in the fire. It just gets to be pretty and bring me joy.

Good night :-)

Oh, Ina, what a lovely find. That’s a real little gem.🤩🤩

I remember something like that from my grandma and her stove. Everything tasted so much better when cooked on it.
Later on, I had a stove like that, too. It was always cozy and warm in the kitchen, and there was always a teakettle sitting on top of it.
Those were the good old days.
