The beauty of gradient yarns is that they make knitting or crocheting even more enjoyable. You’re always eagerly waiting to see how the colors gradually unfold. Here are a few examples of my own.
I hope you have fun making them.

Doll Clothing Poncho
This is an ideal crochet project for beginners. These pretty doll ponchos are quick to make using just a few grams of sock yarn. You can make them in a solid color or with a color gradient. There are a few design variations.
Lace Shawl for Beginners
This is another lovely, relaxing project. The pattern for the shawl consists of just two repeating pattern rows. The color-effect yarn really makes the pattern stand out. After knitting, we’ll block the shawl. I’ll show you exactly how to do it. It’s only through blocking that the pattern reveals its full beauty.
Crocheted Endless Blanket
What makes this special is that we crochet from the center outward. This way, you can make the blanket as large as you’d like—or as large as your yarn cake allows. You can also crochet two yarn cakes one after the other to make the blanket larger. The blanket’s stitch pattern isn’t floppy; instead, the relief stitches give it a textured feel—yet it’s still soft and warm because the yarn cake is made of merino wool.
