That’s very commendable, dear Inge. My husband always bakes sourdough bread and rolls every three days. We grind the grain ourselves in a grain mill. We live in a rather rural area, so we can still buy the grains directly from the farmers. Anyone who has ever really gotten into baking rolls or bread and has had a few attempts under their belt will be rewarded with fresh, delicious baked goods. It’s nothing like the bread and rolls produced by the food industry. We always know exactly what’s in them: no chemicals, no emulsifiers, no artificial flavors or colors. Just the flour of our choice (whole-grain rye, a little wheat), yeast, water, and salt.

Inge, that looks really delicious. Like Ina, we also bake our own rolls and bread. We try different variations all the time, and we love it. We buy our grains from an organic farmer, and we bake almost everything with spelt.

Yes, it’s in a whole different league compared to store-bought baked goods.
