What do I do with a yarn over in the wrong side row?

Hi, I have a knitting chart. In the previous row, I had to knit yarn overs, but now on the wrong side row there are no yarn overs and no instructions on what to do with them. Where the yarn over used to be, there’s just the symbol for a knit stitch. The pattern is a leaf pattern. Maybe that helps? I’m a beginner knitter, so I’m stuck right now.

Then you need to knit a stitch there. 

But then I have an increase, and as far as I can tell, that’s not supposed to happen.

Is the pattern from here? If so, you can message the author and ask.

It’s possible that in the row you’re on right now, you’re just increasing to create the lace pattern; in that case, stitches should be knitted together again in the following rows without making a new yarn over. 

Does your stitch count per row work out before the yarn over? Does your stitch count work out including the yarn-over stitches, without knitting stitches together?

There should be a decrease somewhere. If it’s the pattern from the link, it’s even possible that you might have to knit the rows with the yarn overs first, followed by rows with decreases to shape it toward the center. 

Maybe try casting on just 2–3 pattern repeats and knitting the entire pattern according to the knitting chart.

Perhaps it would help if you googled “knitting leaf pattern” and took a look there. There are videos showing all kinds of patterns, and I think this one can be found there too.

On the product page for your pattern, the product description lists several instructional videos, including ones for yarn overs, etc. Maybe that will help.

.....hey...so, if you knit yarn overs in the right side row, they’re usually purled in the wrong side row. Yes, it’s the symbol for a knit stitch, but in the wrong side row, they’re all purled. Knit on the right side row—purl on the wrong side row.
Most of the time, you knit stitches together before or after a yarn over... Either right before it or with a few stitches in between.... 
Hope you’ve spotted the “mistake” and continue to enjoy your project
