Seasonal projects???

Hey, how do you guys actually manage to make things for a specific season?
For me, it’s pretty much a disaster 😂—I love crocheting little Christmas trees during Advent and starfish in the summer, so I’m always a year behind with my decorations.
Last year, I actually managed to finish the gingerbread house on time, but that was a huge exception.

Oh, that’s actually pretty easy for me—since I mostly just sew my decorations anyway, I can whip something up quickly if I need or want something.

For decorations, I usually make small items—pumpkins, Christmas bows, bunnies, acorns—and I always end up finishing a few of them.

But I also always make them for a specific occasion. I don’t like doing prep work in the summer for the fall.

I’m the same way—I don’t feel like making winter or Christmas decorations in the summer. Strangely enough, though, I’m actually pretty good at getting started on summer projects in the winter.

I’m in the same boat. I do exactly the same thing. Summer means summer decorations and motifs, winter means Christmas trees, and fall means pumpkin decorations.

As an author, there’s no getting around starting seasonal projects early. After all, the patterns have to be ready well in advance if you want to sell them. You can definitely practice that a bit. 

Well, I guess that could almost work out again. You come up with something Christmassy in the winter, and by the time you’ve figured it all out and got it ready, it’s summer—and then the people who want it done by Christmas are the ones buying it. 🤣🤣
