I wish that for you and everyone else here, too!
The weather’s really nice right now—not too warm—and the rain is coming just in time for the weekend. 🤣 There’s always something!
No big deal—I’m still meeting a friend for dinner tomorrow; it just won’t be at the beer garden. The main thing is to catch up and have a delicious meal.
Of course, I’ll have my book and crochet supplies with me too—maybe I’ll be able to sit outside again on Sunday.

Just relaxing, like every weekend......

Yesterday we went to see the new—and surely final—“Indiana Jones” movie. It was a special experience for me.

Today I’m doing some gardening—it rained yesterday, and I want to take advantage of the wet soil to dig up my hostas. They just aren’t growing, so I’d like to try planting them in pots now.

Then I’ll do some crocheting. I’m back to being a “wish fulfiller.” I’m making a balloon cover for little Ellie. So lots and lots of pink and fuchsia will be leaving my stash.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

I have the whole day “off” today and can do whatever I want. My husband went fishing and won’t be back until tomorrow. The weather gods watered the garden plenty yesterday. So it’s time for some crafts, eating ice cream, maybe going for a stroll. We’ll see what takes my fancy.

Have a wonderful summer weekend, everyone.
Best regards, Ina

P.S. Hostas don’t like the sun, Petra. They have huge root balls… I doubt they’ll be comfortable in pots. Maybe they also have a pest gnawing at their roots—that would explain why they’re “stunted.” You’ll find out later. Good luck.

It’s gotten quite chilly here, and it’s slowly starting to rain (just like on Siebenschläfer Day).
The bath I’d planned—for once—with a fragrant bath additive is off the table. Our boiler room is flooded. The building superintendent was here and turned off the hot water. The heating company is coming on Monday, if they can still order the new storage tank today.
So, a cozy weekend of crafts is in store.

Wishing you all a hopefully sunny weekend.
Best regards, Marlies

I hope you all have a great weekend here with nice weather. It’s just a little over 20 degrees and cloudy here today. Tomorrow looks like it’ll be a bit warmer with a few drops of rain. The garden really needs it—our rain barrel is empty, too.

Today I picked some berries that still need to be processed. Tomorrow we’re meeting up with friends.

It’s been raining here since last night—not very hard, but steadily—and everything is nice and wet.

I’d also like to wish everyone a great weekend—according to the rain radar, it’s supposed to have been raining here for a while, but so far it’s stayed dry.
Since I’m not feeling particularly well physically right now, I’ll most likely be spending a lot of time lying down this weekend—I’ve already spent quite a bit of time lying flat today. These constant ups and downs in the weather aren’t doing my joints and bones any favors; often, the only thing that helps is lying flat and finding the best position so it hurts as little as possible.

Best regards, Inge

Oh no! Get well soon!
Yeah, the weather’s a bit rough right now. We can’t seem to agree on it here—my husband’s sweating, and I’m freezing, but that happens a lot.

Thanks, Veronika. I look like I just stepped out of the water, and my husband is wearing a knit vest because he’s cold—we’ll just have to deal with it, right?

Love, Inge

Yes, unfortunately. But we’re all grown-ups now and we’ve already accomplished so much—we can handle this, too!

I got some really great stuff for the garden as a gift today. Right now, I’m still carrying everything from one corner to the other end of the garden

A cast-iron slab

And two big, beautiful window shutters

Oh Petra, I totally get why people give you things like that. Such lovely decorative items! Back in the day, old shutters would have been thrown out with the bulky trash; today, they’re sought-after decorative pieces.

Get well soon to everyone who’s under the weather! I think it’s great that you’re not losing your sense of humor despite all the troubles (various aches and pains, crazy weather, and broken water pipes). When there’s nothing else you can do anyway, you have to figure out how to make the best of the situation. Things will get better again!

Best regards, Ina

Oh, I just saw your posts above.

I’m wishing you a speedy recovery, too. The weather is getting to a lot of people. It’s really exhausting.

Take it easy and do whatever makes you feel best.

I’d also like to wish everyone a relaxing weekend, and a speedy recovery to anyone who’s feeling under the weather.

Yeah, the ups and downs of the weather really get to you. I’m having a hard time dealing with it, and so are our residents at the nursing home.
I can’t drink nearly enough to keep up with how much I’m sweating. Then there are these hot flashes—they’re exhausting—plus the stress at work because everyone’s going crazy. Today was another one of those days. A total disaster.

But… starting Monday, I’ll have two weeks of vacation, and I really need it.

Warm evening greetings
Andrea
