Sewing Key Chains

Dear users, dear authors,
I actually thought that key chains were usually crocheted or knitted, but apparently sewn key chains are quite popular, especially in the form of lanyards. Do you have any tips on this? Can you also make key chains using macramé?

Great selection, Inge!
I once hand-sewed a little teddy bear head as a keychain, but otherwise I usually crochet them.
I find the ones with a pocket for a shopping cart token really practical.

Wow, Inge, it’s amazing what a wide selection you have.
Personally, I like the top one with the sailboat best. It reminds me of vacation, sun, beach, and the ocean. And the one with the little beetle, too.

Thank you all :-) but I don't have a single one of the keychains anymore. One of my grandsons once sewed the felt keychains with the bows and so on at my place; he needed gifts for his mom, dad, and brother. The boy was about 9/10 years old then, and he used to come to me regularly and we would sew something together.
The sailboat is hanging from the mirror in my eldest daughter's car, the little pigs were once for friends, because as someone from Schweinfurt you value *pig* :-) The last picture below is supposed to be guardian angels; all my daughters and some of the grandchildren have carried them off too.  This is what is on my keyring: my husband once milled the brass tag for me, and the other two came from my embroidery machine
