Things are looking really good for me right now. I’m working on the yarn I have, I already have concrete plans for some of my stash, and any excess yarn is set aside for swap packages—it’s all going well.
Hello everyone, I keep reading about the swap package. How does it work, and how can I participate? Thank you very much in advance for your answers. Best regards, Hanne
There’s one going on right now, but otherwise there’ll be a thread set up in time where you can sign up.
Schnuckelina organizes it, sends out a big package of yarn, and each participant can happily rummage through it, take out what they want, and put some yarn to trade in its place, then pass the package along. The list with the order will also be posted at the top of the thread.
Hi everyone, now that I’ve knitted three pieces (Karls) without buying any new yarn, and the sock yarn is still enough for a Schulz blanket, my stash has shrunk quite a bit. So now I have to clear out and sort through it again. But we’re also gradually clearing out my husband’s parents’ house, one thing at a time.
Have a lovely rest of the week
Maria
Oh yeah... I have mountains of yarn and plenty of UFOs... What I’m missing right now (as so often) is time.
I’ve been crocheting one single loop scarf for over a month now, and there are 2 unfinished little animals sitting in the living room cabinet, constantly nagging at my conscience: “Finish us alreeeaaady...”
So the mountains will stay mountains for a while yet.
Although... since I recently donated a whole heap of yarn, they’re now just little yarn hills. But yes. Still more than enough.
Maybe I’ll donate even more... Then I can buy new yarn again without feeling guilty 😇
Lately, I’ve just been using up my leftover yarn—I’ve made a little monkey, a dinosaur, and some fish. Next up is the thick yarn—I’ll be making three slipovers (addictive little projects)—and after that, I’ll use the sock yarn to knit socks using the Fair Isle technique. I also have two balls of yarn that need to be used up, and then there are still a few scraps waiting to be put to good use…
The addictive little shawl is simply knitted straight and has a ribbed pattern from the sleeve separation upwards; this makes it pull together at the top and creates a flattering shape for every figure. It can be made with just about any yarn.
The pattern is by Casa de Lana and can be found on Y..Tu.e.
