You ALWAYS need hats. Everyone has them in their closet: an especially thick, warm one for winter, a windproof one for hiking, a lightweight one for summer. Today I have two examples to introduce that are part of my collection every year.
I hope you have lots of fun knitting them.
Warm regards from Ina
Modern slouchy hat with scarf or loop scarf
It is knitted from cuddly-soft baby alpaca yarn. That makes it especially soft, lightweight, warming, and breathable. The modern beanie shape especially appeals to young women and girls. The hat is light enough that when you no longer need it (for example, when you go into a warm department store), you can quickly tuck it into your bag, folded up very small.
Felted hat with loop scarf
Here’s another insider tip for anyone who gets cold easily. No cold wind gets through a felted hat. The felted wool maintains a pleasant temperature. Excess heat is simply released outward through the felted wool fibers. You can make it with or without a pom-pom. The edge made from colorful variegated wool is sewn onto the hat after it has been felted in the washing machine. A scarf or loop scarf in the same yarn quality goes well with it.
