You can crochet absolutely enchanting hand puppets from leftover yarn. You can follow the pattern to the letter, but you’ll still have plenty of leeway to bring your own ideas to life. This is how you create completely individual, one-of-a-kind Kasperl puppets.
Today I’d like to introduce you to my 3 magical creatures from my
hand puppet collection. All three have magical powers that they can use sometimes for good and sometimes for evil.

First, there’s the
Rainbow Fairy. She’s one of the “good guys” and helps Kasperl out of a jam again and again. She wears a rainbow-colored gown with a matching hat and veil.

The
wizard Merlin can be a good or evil character—depending on the play. He has a midnight-blue, glittering robe and a pointed hat. You can tell by his long beard and white hair that he’s very old.

The
witch Wackelzahn is definitely one of the “bad guys.” It’s a good thing she’s also a little dim-witted. That way, Kasperl and his friends can outwit her time and time again.
