Crocheting a Mandala

what do you need to keep in mind if you want to crochet mandalas or make mandalas in general?

Mandalas are meant to soothe, relax, and lift your spirits.
Generally speaking, mandalas are round and consist, so to speak, of several “slices,” within which the pattern repeats itself over and over.
And they should be cheerfully colorful.
In my opinion, when crocheting mandalas, you should pay special attention to creating a calm yet varied pattern—preferably with a color change in every round.
A mandala shouldn’t look boring; instead, it should always invite the viewer to linger a little longer.

I haven’t tried it yet, but I could imagine a knitted mandala with a lace pattern.
