Announcement: New Wool Swap Group

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are off to a good start in the new year. After so much celebrating, you’re probably in the mood for some crafting again, right? What could be more inspiring than some new yarn? And when it arrives in the form of a surprise package, it’s even more fun. The yarn costs nothing except for one shipping fee.

This year, we’ll continue the lovely tradition of yarn swapping. It’s exciting and brings fresh ideas. You can see, feel, and stroke the yarn—and “adopt” it. In return, other yarn that hasn’t quite won your heart can find a new home with someone else.

During the last swap, some people mentioned that they would have joined in if they’d known sooner when I’d post the sign-up thread. This time, no one should be too late or say they didn’t know. That’s why this is just a heads-up today. I’ll post the sign-up thread next Sunday (Jan. 8, around 4 p.m.). So anyone who wants to be sure to participate this time should make a note of the date.

While you wait for Sunday to arrive, I’ll go ahead and gather the new yarns for the swap.

Maybe this event will help liven up the forum a bit. It’s pretty quiet here. Okay, the first week of January is always a bit of a slow start. I get that. But it would be nice to see more people participating in the forum again. It just makes things more fun.
