As planned, I’m starting on the temperature blanket—the first row is finished, in a completely unplanned spring-fresh green; it’s still quite mild here.

Craft-wise, I don’t have anything planned at all yet. Next week I want to take down the Christmas decorations and maybe clean the windows, i.e. if it’s not freezing or pouring with rain; otherwise, I’ll see what comes to mind

After a wonderful celebration with friends yesterday, I’m just taking a day off without any plans. I’m really enjoying it. There’s still plenty of raclette left over, so I don’t have to do anything today either.

Yesterday, my husband and I rang in the New Year quietly—at least until 12:00 p.m. Then there was an insane fireworks display going on outside for over an hour. It was just too much for me.

Now I have a long to-do list that I started working through today. We’ll see how it goes.

There was a huge, loud fireworks display here, as if there were no tomorrow. The fireworks started as early as the afternoon, and we were able to watch it all from the sofa.

My husband and I celebrated the New Year pretty quietly; since I’m still dealing with health issues, I wasn’t really in the mood to party. We toasted with two glasses of Piccolo sparkling wine, and then I went to bed since I’d barely slept beforehand. My legs were tingling.

In the early afternoon, we took a little New Year’s walk along the Silokanal. It was a bit windy with spring-like temperatures.
And of course, the streets looked like a mess.

My husband and I also celebrated the New Year together. Here in the countryside,
the fireworks were pretty subdued. We were able to watch the
spectacle a few kilometers away.

I spent New Year’s Eve with two friends, enjoying a good meal and a game night.
Once the fireworks died down after about an hour and a half, we went to bed.
Here, the fireworks started as early as the afternoon, and it was quite a spectacle. You’d have thought it was already midnight. In my opinion, it was just too much—and in some cases, even dangerous.
Unfortunately, nobody cleans up after themselves either! It was very windy here, and everything blew all over the gardens. (I had a lot to pick up yesterday.) And now the poor street cleaner has to sweep up the rest.
