Sweater
"Antarctica" can of course be made
in any size, yarn, and hook size you like. Because of the textured pattern, however, it uses up a lot of yarn.
It is worked in one piece from top to bottom (Rvo), making it ideal for gradient yarns.

The details naturally depend on the sweater size/length, the yarn, the
hook size, and your individual crochet style (so the amount used can vary greatly)
Amount used in the turquoise/beige example - see shop images) size 36/38:
Total amount used = 2280 m - 4-ply modal yarn
Body with collar = 1500 m - each sleeve = approx. 390 m
For each additional double size (40/42 – 44/46.....), you should plan for approx. 200 m more yarn. See images for further amounts used
