60-Minute Projects for Leftovers / Leftover Yarn: Great for Last-Minute Christmas Projects, Too

Here you’ll find projects that you can complete in a maximum of 60 minutes using leftovers / leftover yarn. There’s sure to be at least one lovely Christmas pattern among them. I wish you relaxing times and lots of fun crafting.

2–3 patterns per author are enough. All patterns featured here must be doable with leftover yarn / leftovers, must not have been posted in the forum within the last 3 weeks, and must have at least 10 sales and a CR of at least 3%. Don’t forget links, images, information, etc. 

These two heart bookmarks are quick to crochet, even for beginners. All you need is a crochet hook and leftover red and gold yarn.


You can also crochet a lucky pig with a surprise effect in just one hour. You’ll need an empty surprise egg capsule to work the little animal around. Then you can hide a small treat inside. Wouldn’t that be a great idea for a New Year’s Eve party?

In 60 minutes, you can make beautiful little handmade projects. That way, you can make good use of, for example, travel time on a train or waiting time in a waiting room.

Depending on which leftover yarn you use, you can make larger or smaller hearts. You could use them as gift tags or as a little something extra to go with a gift. 

Giving hearts as gifts at Christmas, or even during Advent, is such a sweet gesture.
