Dear users, dear authors,
How are your wish lists / watchlists doing? What’s on them?
Have you found the new sorting options and the order function?
Tip: Don’t forget the store credit discount if you’re planning to buy a pattern from your watchlist. Have fun!

Oh my, my watchlist is loooong!
Mine contains patterns for clothing items for me and our granddaughter. When I’m looking for a new project, I can quickly browse through the watchlist and, with the store credit account, buy and download it in a flash. And then it’s time to get started on the project ;-)

Wishlist 🙈. Right now there are 38 items on it.....
I check it every now and then; sometimes new ones are added, and sometimes a few are deleted because I bought them or my tastes have changed.
Sorting options???? Um, I think I need to take another look at that....

I have 18 items on my wishlist. That’s nice and manageable, so I don’t need a sorting function. But I’m also someone who likes to tidy up. Just as I tidy up my PC or my cupboards every now and then, I also check my wishlist. Things I used to think were great, I might not think are quite so great anymore today. But every single item on the list is stored in my head and then bought right away when needed.

Recently I bought a baby romper from my wishlist. I had liked it before, and that’s how it ended up on the wishlist. Now, shortly before Christmas, I decided to sew some more rompers for my youngest granddaughter. And just like that, because I had prepared well, I was able to buy the favorite pattern. The fabric has been ordered, and now I’m excited to see how working with the pattern goes.

I have never bought from this designer before and am curious to see whether I get along well with it. Unfortunately, so far there has been not a single review (with 30 sales). So I couldn’t get any information in advance at all. I always find that very, very unfortunate. I only bought it because the cover page said “Suitable for beginners.” In any case, I’m very excited ... and will write a review after finishing the project. So that those who come after me don’t have to buy “a pig in a poke.”

Best wishes, Ina

I only have 9 items on my watchlist right now, so there’s no need to do a major sort. But my to-do list is a mile long—I’ve already bought lots of patterns and some yarn, so I’m working my way through them bit by bit.

Oh dear,
I guess I’m one of the hunters and gatherers 🙄—I think the folders are brilliant; now I can finally bring some order to it 😉.
A full 23 pages! 😇😂
I’ve got quite a bit in there: things I might want to try someday, others I definitely want to show a friend, some items to compare with each other until I maybe make up my mind, others just as ideas, and so on.

These days I try not to buy right away every time (preferably only once I’ve firmly planned it)—I already have a whole folder full of purchased and printed patterns (so of course not rated yet either 😇), and until I’ve worked through all of that, oh dear 🤔
Actually, I shouldn’t even be looking in here anymore 😉
But it’s like buying yarn 😂😂
So the list will probably keep growing, but at least it’s sorted now and I’ll have an easier overview, and won’t have to awkwardly search for the pattern all over again 🤔

How do you decide whether to buy a pattern right away or save it to your watchlist first?

@Josefa
Good question—I used to buy things right away, but now I’m more selective since I already have so many patterns (including some from various magazines...) 🤔

Now it has to have that “wow” factor (for me, it was the witch’s shadow scarf—I just had to have it 😉) and/or I need to have the right yarn on hand.
Or maybe just a pattern that’s on sale—one I wouldn’t have been able to afford at the regular price 🤔

OK, honestly:
How many of the patterns you buy or download do you actually follow?
If that question is too personal, I’ll take it back. :-)

Well, hopefully all of them! 🤣 But so far.... hmmm.... I’m only at about 20%. There’s definitely room for improvement!

Sooo much.... 20% 😂
I’m “cleaning up” here right now and have so many patterns (these are just the printed ones)—I’d need at least two more lifetimes to work through them all 🙈
I just collected them for a while; anything I liked, I bought.... It was exactly the same with yarn...
Now I only add things that are “special” to my wish list, and then I think it through carefully: what yarn do I need for this? Do I maybe already have it in my stash? And only then do I buy it...
