Keep That Summer Sun // Handcrafted Designs in Yellow and Orange

Summer is taking a break , but if you want to hold on to some summer sunshine , you’ll find great patterns in yellow and orange right here in this thread. Have fun with them .

Even the little delicate teddy bear (20–25 cm) would like to hold onto the summer sun. He’s sure to love this pretty crocheted jacket. It’s very easy to make and a lot of fun. You can even use leftover yarn for this project.

With this headband knitted in double knitting, you’ll have the sun with you all through fall and winter. Thanks to the double knitting, the headband keeps you nice and warm, and you can wear it on either side, depending on your mood. We crochet a slim, figure-hugging dress with a detailed bustier and a matching bolero jacket. It’s fun to make, and later it’s wonderful to play with.





Swimsuit
If you have even less yarn, you could also crochet little swimsuits. Just crochet them now (a crochet chart is included) and give them as gifts for the next swimming season.

You can easily bridge the darker times—which are sure to come—with plenty of light and sunny yellow decorations. These tea light holders offer both—light and color. And they’re very easy to make.



The holders are made of photo cardstock, measure approximately 15 cm in diameter, and are wonderfully suited even for beginners with little crafting experience.

My Bacca scarf is knitted with 300g of sock-weight yarn, and with the color combination of yellow and orange, summer will linger for a long time.
