I stumbled upon Crazypatterns by chance and am “actually” really excited about it. So far, everything I’ve downloaded has worked out great.
Knitting is almost like an addiction for me. I really enjoy it.
Now I’m looking for a knitting pattern for a nice men’s jacket.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find one. There’s nothing. :-(
Wouldn’t it be worth considering offering patterns like that as well? I don’t always want to buy entire magazines when I only need one pattern. These days, it’s so much easier—and, above all, saves space—not to have to store whole magazines but to be able to download individual patterns instead.
Who knows—maybe I’ll come across a newsletter with suggestions like that soon?
I wish the whole team continued creative inspiration.
We’re considering doing that—you’re right; many of our customers would rather buy a single
pattern than a whole booklet
, since they usually don’t like all the patterns in it anyway. I’ll pass this on to Ilo—maybe she’d like to design a jacket. Do you have any ideas about what it should look like? Feel free to describe it here—should it be simple or more sophisticated? Let us know your ideas, and we’ll see if we can make it happen.
Hello, dear Kati & Ilona
that’s so nice that I’m getting a reply. Thank you very much.
I’d be very happy to describe my dream jacket to you.
It should be rustic yet sophisticated, with various large and small cable patterns.
It should have two pockets.
The collar should be round, possibly a small stand-up collar.
No zipper, because it often catches on hand-knitted items and pulls threads.
The sleeves should have a sleeve cap and not be knitted straight.
The pattern should also suit a tall (190 cm) but slim man with narrow shoulders. Often the sleeves hang over the shoulders.
Needle size 5
I’d like to knit the jacket with the following yarn: Katina by Junghans. I’ve already knitted a vest for my neighbor with this yarn, and I’m more than delighted with the quality of the yarn. What’s especially nice is that it is warm. Since my husband gets cold easily, this material is excellent. You can also wear this jacket on cool summer evenings.
I wanted to upload a photo of a women’s jacket with many stitch patterns to explain it better. Unfortunately, it didn’t work. So I hope you can still understand what I have in mind.
I wish you lots of creative ideas and thank you in advance for your effort.
Ilona is here right now (for a cup of coffee) and I just read your post to her. She’s nodding in agreement and says we’ll do our best to implement your suggestions as much as possible. If you’d like, please send us a photo to the following address: → haekelnstricken@gmail.com
—it should reach us.
Then we’ll be happy to take a look at it. Thank you so much for your clear explanation—we’re on it. Have a wonderful Sunday ;)
Thank you very much for your email. We ordered the yarn you requested last night and will finish the jacket in the coming weeks. Since Ilona works full-time, it will take a little while, but I think she’ll be able to finish the jacket within the next three weeks.
Thank you very much for the pictures. Ilo said she already knows exactly what the jacket should look like, which makes me very happy, and we hope you’ll like it too.
Ilona will follow all your specifications, and we’ll let you know when the jacket is finished.
