As a thank-you to loyal customers and to those who might want to get to know my pattern style, I post a free pattern now and then. That way everyone can get to know my pattern style and also make a lovely handmade project.
Since Christmas is already in about 10 weeks, I’ve chosen a
craft project and a
knitting pattern. Both are perfect for the pre-Christmas season. One is for decorating, and the other is to keep the children or grandchildren warmly dressed.
I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.
Warm regards from Ina
Christmas wreath made from pom-poms
The whole family can join in with this craft! For this pretty wreath, we first make lots and lots of pom-poms with a pom-pom maker. You’re welcome to use your leftover yarn for this. Then we attach the pom-poms to a flat round wreath with long straight pins. Now the adults use hot glue to add small Christmas baubles or bows. And the perfect, non-shedding, reusable Christmas wreath is finished. Everyone will admire and marvel at it, because it’s one of a kind!
You can display it on the table or on the wall ... or even decorate the whole house with it. One customer even decorated all the windows of her old farmhouse with them.
Pointed hat with triangular scarf for children (2 to 4 years, head circumference 48 to 52 cm)
Anyone who has children or grandchildren knows the problem: you constantly need a fresh supply of hats and scarves. It needs to match every anorak, and of course it should keep them warm too. This set consists of a pointed hat with a pom-pom and a triangular scarf with a small crochet edging. Everything is knitted with soft 6-ply sock yarn. That makes it perfect for the transitional seasons.
