As a thank-you to loyal customers and to those who might want to get to know my pattern style, I post a free pattern now and then. That way everyone can get to know my pattern style and also make a lovely handmade project.

Since Christmas is already in about 10 weeks, I’ve chosen a craft project and a knitting pattern. Both are perfect for the pre-Christmas season. One is for decorating, and the other is to keep the children or grandchildren warmly dressed.

I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.
Warm regards from Ina

Christmas wreath made from pom-poms

The whole family can join in with this craft! For this pretty wreath, we first make lots and lots of pom-poms with a pom-pom maker. You’re welcome to use your leftover yarn for this. Then we attach the pom-poms to a flat round wreath with long straight pins. Now the adults use hot glue to add small Christmas baubles or bows. And the perfect, non-shedding, reusable Christmas wreath is finished. Everyone will admire and marvel at it, because it’s one of a kind!

You can display it on the table or on the wall ... or even decorate the whole house with it. One customer even decorated all the windows of her old farmhouse with them.

Pointed hat with triangular scarf for children (2 to 4 years, head circumference 48 to 52 cm)

Anyone who has children or grandchildren knows the problem: you constantly need a fresh supply of hats and scarves. It needs to match every anorak, and of course it should keep them warm too. This set consists of a pointed hat with a pom-pom and a triangular scarf with a small crochet edging. Everything is knitted with soft 6-ply sock yarn. That makes it perfect for the transitional seasons.

Since Halloween is just around the corner, I’m crocheting these little ghosts. For a change—at least for me—they’re not spooky, but good ghosts that protect their owners. They’re always very popular, especially with children, because they get these ghosts as gifts when they ring the doorbell.

The ghosts are very easy and quick for beginners to crochet from leftover yarn. You can be very creative here, because the faces can of course be designed individually—spooky or friendly, just as you like. Just let your imagination run wild.

For hanging, you can crochet a loop or crochet in a key ring. Of course, they can also be hung up as “protectors” in the car or taken along as bag charms.

I personally enjoy little tokens of appreciation or gifts. That’s why I also post free patterns from time to time, to bring a little joy to anyone who would like to make them.

This little coaster is an ideal project for knitting beginners. It only requires knit and purl stitches, is very easy, works up quickly, and the result is absolutely lovely.

Knitting pattern “Coaster with Heart” - very easy

For advanced knitters, I also have a free pattern for a coaster, but knitted in double-face. This knitting technique lets you create truly wonderful motifs, and the knitted piece looks beautiful on both sides. Detailed instructions for the basics of double-face knitting are included in this pattern. If you’d like to try something new again, this might be just the thing for you. By the way: if you don’t want to knit a skull, you can find the same basic instructions with a heart motif for free on the Crazypatterns Blog.

If you prefer crocheting, I have a lucky cloverleaf for you :-) The coaster is crocheted using the tapestry technique. It’s very easy, a lot of fun, and of course explained in detail in the pattern.

Sonja wishes you lots of joy knitting and/or crocheting

My free patterns give you a little insight into how I work.

Granny Mureki Part 1

You can crochet a coaster from it, or use several pieces to make a tablecloth, a runner, or whatever else comes to mind.

The PDF file consists of 4 pages and is for advanced crocheters.
The pattern includes step-by-step instructions.

This pattern can be used in many ways:
as a sweater, slipover, vest, or scarf.

The two-page PDF file consists of step-by-step instructions with a photo and knitting chart.
It is suitable for beginners.

These spiders are a quick and easy yet impressive Halloween decoration. The size of the spiders depends on the yarn used. Any quality is suitable, so this is a great project for crocheting with leftover yarn.

It’s not a pattern, but my free project planner is super practical for your crafts.

Have you ever found yourself wanting to crochet or knit an “old” project again, but now you can’t remember how many stitches you cast on, where you bought that great yarn, how much you used, and so on and so forth...?

That’s over now: in future, you can use this great project planner to write down important details for yourself while you work.
I’ve also included a small table where you can tick off your working time in hourly increments.

You can download the project planner for free here

When knitting, we sometimes need little “helpers” to keep track of all those stitches—stitch markers are indispensable—and if they look pretty too, knitting becomes so much more fun! And of course, they also make a wonderful personal gift for all knitters!

This way to the free pattern: Stitch markers

Wishing you lots of fun with this little craft project,
Annette

For everyone who likes to embroider maritime motifs in cross-stitch
and likes Low German, you’ll find a small sampler in classic blue and white
in my store.

I used three shades of blue and white. But you can also add
more shades of blue and use up leftover yarn that way.

I hope you enjoy stitching it!

here’s the embroidery pattern
