Hardworking little helpers: How are you doing?

Dear users, dear authors,
dear little helpers,
what are you up to at the moment? Are you keeping busy? How was your September? Yes, I know September isn’t over yet.

I’m hard at work right now—but not with my knitting needles, rather at the stove.

I processed all my apples today, and now everything’s simmering away. 



Tomorrow I’m treating myself to an afternoon with my knitting needles.

After the summer heat, my September was very rainy. 

I’m currently knitting three projects: a scarf for Lisa, fingerless gloves, and a sweater.
All made from the same yarn.

Also, today we finally went to an old pear tree that nobody (except us) cares about and picked a few pears.
We made compote with half of them and a few apples.

Unfortunately, I have to take a break from knitting because my right hand is having a severe flare-up of arthritis—I can barely hold a spoon, let alone my knitting needles :-( Luckily, I have electric cutting shears, so I don’t have to use regular scissors.
But today I have to head into town first to pick up the birthday present I ordered for my husband. It’s his special day on Sunday. :-) My daughter will pick me up afterward.
