Would you like to have your very own special Christmas nativity scene this year? Then why not crochet the nativity figures yourself! You can use all kinds of colorful leftover yarn: the more colorful, the better!
In each crochet pattern, I’ve specified which yarns and how much of each I used for the individual figures. That way, you can best compare them with what you have on hand. The result will be your very own unique nativity scene that no one else has.

Let your leftover yarn inspire you and download the patterns right away!

This practical pull-on hat with a shawl collar made from merino wool is for all babies who don’t like having things pulled over their heads. I knitted it for my granddaughter. Both mother and child were very happy with it.

The hat has a shawl collar, so the neck and nape stay nicely protected and warm. At the front, the hat simply buttons closed.

Knitting it is even possible for beginners with basic skills, as the feedback shows. It really is very easy to make with the pattern.

Colorful and cheerful, that’s the Yayoi scarf with spirals. Crochet the scarf with spirals in your favorite colors or in a single color. You can use any yarn you like. It’s also great for using up leftover yarn. The clever spirals give the Yayoi scarf with spirals that special something.

You can find the pattern in my Blickfang-Design store.

How about a few pretty Christmas gnomes as cheerful decorations for your Christmas tree?
They are perfect as Christmas tree ornaments, decorations for festive arrangements, as a gift or small present for someone dear, or also as gift tags and keychains.

Colorful and vibrant—that’s something I really like. It keeps crocheting from getting boring, and in the end you’ve conjured up something beautifully colorful. Feel free to take a look at my two examples.

How about a "Water Lily Pillow"?
It’s made in two parts and fastened all the way around with buttons. The ball buttons are crocheted too. The water lily is raised in a 3D style and is a real eye-catcher.

I have a big box of cotton leftover yarn. I wanted to crochet something practical from it. That’s how these little colorful buckets for odds and ends came about. First we buy ourselves a large plastic bucket of delicious yogurt at the discount store (or pickles, if you prefer those), and then we reuse the bucket later. We crochet it a new outfit. To keep things from getting boring, you can make 2 versions. They look great on any child’s desk or in a craft room.

If you like the rainbow gradient and would like to own a rainbow-colored tea light holder , you can make one yourself with this tutorial.

This tea light holder is made entirely from cardstock, measures about 15 cm, and is very well suited even for crafting beginners.

My Tamburin Shawl can also be knitted with leftover yarn; you’ll need 100g of the main color and 10–20g of yarn for the color stripes. The pattern is simple, and you can just keep knitting at each color change.

Are you in the mood for Krumme Dinger? Then grab some sock yarn and a set of double-pointed needles, and off you go.
The socks have a fun construction. They come in 4 sizes, in German and English.

The Tabi Toes are also really fun. With these socks, you can wear your flip-flops even in winter. They look especially funny when the big toes are knitted in a different color.
