Dear users, dear authors,
dear little helpers,
what are you working on today? Are you working hard?

I’m still knitting my soul warmer; I was already pretty far along, but then I tried it on and had to rip it out because it was too tight. “Okay,” I thought to myself, “just rip it out and start almost from the beginning again.” I should mention that I’m knitting this without a knitting pattern—just going by how I think it should fit. :-) For me, this kind of thing always follows the motto: learning by doing :-)))) I’ve got plenty of time, and I’ve already knitted two for myself, so there’s no need to rush.

Best wishes, Inge

Inge, the journey is the destination. If it’s a beautiful yarn, then be glad that you get to spend more time with it.

I’ve already started something new again without finishing any of my other projects. I just can’t seem to finish anything right now. Either I set it aside because I’m not quite satisfied and don’t yet know how to proceed, or I rip it out and look for the next skein of yarn for a new idea.

So I’ve been working on a headband since yesterday. I discovered a chapter in my knitting book called “Unusual Techniques.” Now I’m on my third attempt—bigger needles and different yarn—and the headband looks pretty. I still have a few rows to go.

I’m continuing to knit Lisa’s scarf.
Luckily, it’s a simple pattern that’s easy to work on while watching TV or on the go.

And I’m still working on some Halloween décor: a pillow.

I’m still torn between “sewing a few hats to donate” and “starting my new Christmas pattern.”
We’ll see what I actually end up doing tonight :)

I wish I could split myself into three... then each part of me could do one thing. One would work on the new pattern, another would sew the hats and loop scarves my grandchild wants, and the third would take care of the 5 kg of bell peppers sitting in the kitchen, freshly picked. Too bad there are only 24 hours in a day :-(

Best regards, Ina

Ina, I’ve been saying for a long time now: after Sunday, I could use one more day off every week—a day that nobody else knows about ;-)

Hi there, you little woolly mice.

Hooray, I’ve finished another UFO.
Only half a heart was missing. Crocheted it together—done.
So happy.

Have a great midweek, everyone!

For a change, I’m working on a vintage teddy bear—I’ll show it to you when it’s done :-)

Best wishes, Inge

This morning I knitted a little on the second glove.
Later, I’ll continue working on the scarf.

I’ve finished my first sensory blanket!
It features a granny bag with a budgie living inside, a mini belt with a buckle, a rattle ball, a textured ToLa, a key, a twist-off Tetra Pak cap, a ring, a little twirly worm along the edge, lace fabric to tug on, shoelaces to tie into bows, and a metal guardian angel charm.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a camera.

Best wishes and have a wonderful evening, everyone

Mel, the blanket turned out great. Is there a home out there that’ll be happy to receive it?

Sinas-haekelwiese—you can post even without pictures and tell us what project you’re working on right now.

I’ve finished the first headband and am now working on the second one for my daughter. She likes the new pattern, but she can’t tolerate wool. So now there’s a second one made from 100% polyester. But the yarn is super soft. I’ve already made her one in blue (see picture below), and now there’s a knitted one in pink

Hi,
you’re all such hard-working little helpers—you’re creating some truly amazing things.

Meil, your activity blanket turned out beautifully.
You’ve attached quite a few things to it—I’m sure one or more of the residents at the care home will be delighted.

Are you making several more blankets?

I’m still working on my soul warmer and took a picture to show how far along I am. Once I finish the repeat I’m currently knitting, I’ll need to add another one just like it to the other side. Then it’ll have the width I want. After that, I’ll add sleeves, a collar, and ribbing around the bottom, because I want it to become a really cozy soul warmer.

Best regards, Inge

@Sinas-Haekelwiese,
You can also tell us what you’re working on without a camera.
Have fun.

Inge, the color looks great.

I started working on a pumpkin house yesterday. I still need to add two windows and then sew it all together. I’ll show it to you when it’s finished.

Petra, I work at a nursing home, and right now there’s only one for four wards. But I have great support, and now some of the ladies who do needlework are also making them for me. The goal is 1–2 per ward, and I’ve almost got them all together.

Mel, that’s nice—then you’ll see firsthand how your handiwork is appreciated.

I’m now getting to what’s the hardest part for me: sewing it all together......
