Thank you so much. I wish the same for you and all our readers.
We’re having lovely, peaceful late-summer weather here. We’ll enjoy the warm sun in the garden, tend to the plants a bit, and of course, I’ll be crocheting. It’s always best to do that in daylight.

Tomorrow I’ll also be baking a delicious cake (poppy seed braid with crumble topping). We’re having guests over on Sunday. It’ll be loud, colorful, and bustling again. The little grandchildren (4 years and 6 months) will want to play, be entertained, and be well fed. And the parents need a break from their responsibilities. They’ll be spoiled too, of course.

Thank you—I wish the same for everyone!
It’s getting wet here; the weekend is supposed to be rainy. That’s good—nature really needs it.
We’ve already had quite a bit of rain yesterday and today. I’m in the middle of reorganizing a large closet; I’ll finish the rest tomorrow, and then everything will be back in its place. With the heat we’ve had over the last few weeks, I’ve only been doing the bare minimum around the house, but now I’m catching up on everything.
And of course, I’ll still be crocheting and reading, too.

It’s very autumnal here, and it’s raining outside. 

I have a bag of windfall apples, so there will be apple pie. Tonight I’m meeting friends for dinner. 

A stack of books from the library is sitting here — about designing a natural garden. I still have a few corners in the garden where I’m looking for inspiration and help choosing the right plants.

Yesterday we were at my cousin’s wedding; today we planted some flowers and are otherwise just having a relaxing day, and tomorrow… we’ll see what the day brings :)

Yesterday and today—for the first time in a very long time—we went to a small Chinese restaurant for dinner and had cake at a café.
We even took some cake home with us.

Other than that, I’ve been doing a little knitting.
I’m also reading a mystery novel by Nele Neuhaus that I’ve been waiting for for a long time because it was always checked out.
