A Trip to Wilhelma

Yesterday, we took our grandson on a trip to Wilhelma—the Botanical Zoo in Stuttgart.

I’ve taken a few pictures of the water lily pond for you. I sat by this very pond about 54 years ago with my grandmother and my mother—back then, we watched the sea lions and penguins that used to live here.

Petra, that must have been a lovely outing. You also saw the cheetahs—those little ones are so cute.
We used to go there often with the kids, and then with the grandkids when they were still little.

What beautiful pictures! We were there a few years ago; we’ve always enjoyed visiting botanical gardens and zoos.

@Gabe—it’s about 30 minutes via the B10 without traffic, so it’s relatively close. A8 exit Wendlingen—that’s the area I’m from. 

I live in Bietigheim-Bissingen. It’s practically right around the corner. 

Yeah, right nearby. I bet you’re more likely to be at the Blühendes Barock in Ludwigsburg, aren’t you?
