Cable patterns are a lovely embellishment on a piece knitted in stockinette stitch. Just stockinette stitch can sometimes look boring. A few cables jazz the whole thing up, and they are very easy to knit. Feel free to take a look at my suggestions.

Wrist Warmers with a Decorative Cable
They are perfect for fall and warm winter days. The fingers are free, and your hand is still kept nicely warm. There is a pretty cable on the top. The insides are knitted in stockinette stitch. There is a thumb gusset for the perfect fit. You can make them in 2 sizes.





Turtleneck Sweater for Small Dolls
Here, too, the cable decorates the sweater. We knit it as a top-down raglan in one piece. You can knit the sweater as long as you like. That is also very practical for using up leftovers.

This pretty triangular shawl consists of a pattern that is relatively easy to knit for lace pattern lovers, as the rows are very similar. The pattern always includes simple cables after every 24 rows, in which 4 stitches are crossed with a cable needle (in other words, an 8-stitch cable). These cables give the pattern a lovely detail.
