Bobbel cakes, gradient yarns, effect yarns - all of this makes needlework entertaining. If you have to knit or crochet a large project with just one color that doesn't change, it really takes a lot of perseverance. But if you have a ball of yarn with different colors, then it's really a lot of fun. And the result looks twice as good right away, without you having done any more work for it. Feel free to take a look at my examples.

You can find more sample images, information, and the pattern by clicking on the headings.

I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.
Warm greetings from Ina

Crocheted endless blanket from one Bobbel cake

->
the size is variable, the color effect comes directly from the ball of yarn

Crocheted sandbag doorstop

Super practical because it keeps every door in place and prevents doors from slamming. This one is crocheted from just one ball of yarn.

Knitting pattern Winter cape for dolls
With this cape, the fluffy edging all around is what gives it just the right chic look. All doll mommies will love playing with it.

Cardigan with shawl collar

It is not only lovely to look at, but also keeps you nice and warm. The color gradient comes directly from the ball of yarn. The cut has an elongating effect thanks to the wide shawl collar, beautiful large pockets, and a belt.

Knitting pattern princess dress with 4 variations of a sleeve shawl
Thanks to the fluffy yarn, the dress is featherlight and drapes beautifully. If you like, you can knit in beads.

Knitting pattern warm poncho in one size

It is knitted as a top-down raglan. The length is variable. The play of colors comes directly from the ball of yarn.

Knitting pattern baby sleep sack, swaddle sack

The entrelac pattern especially highlights the beautiful play of colors that comes directly from the ball of yarn. In this baby sleep sack, the baby can kick freely without anything feeling tight. It is made from soft merino wool.

Knitting pattern The Ice Princess's Coat
All doll mommies love it. I can understand that, because I like it very much too. The wide edging made from plush yarn all around makes it so enchanting.

Knitting pattern lace shawl for beginners

Here too, the stunning effect of the shawl comes first of all from the color sequence in the ball of yarn. Of course, there is also the simple pattern, which consists of just 2 pattern rows that repeat over and over.

This cute snail will bring a little cheer—and tissues!—all around the house. The crochet pattern for this tissue holder is available in German, English (US terms), and Dutch.

For amigurumi, I like to use leftovers of effect yarn. Depending on which yarn you work with, different effects can be achieved.
Hedgehog Ingo should be anything but prickly; instead, he should turn out really cuddly and soft. That’s why I used chenille yarn for the body. (It also comes in a thin version, so Ingo ends up only about 14 cm tall.) The spines are crocheted with fringe yarn .  It has a color gradient, creating an interesting brindled pattern on the back.

To make the woolly coat of the little lamb especially soft, I crocheted the little lamb with plush yarn .  To make the stitches easier to see while crocheting, a carry-along yarn in the same color is crocheted along with it. This also gives the body more stability.

For this beautiful asymmetrical triangular shawl, I chose a gradient yarn in petrol blue, but it also looks great in any other yarn, whether colorful, solid-colored, or made from leftover yarn. Add fringe or pom-poms to make it a one-of-a-kind piece that only you own.

Look forward to a well-crafted pattern in which I explain exactly how it’s done. You can find it in my Blickfang-Design store.

The crocheted summer raglan tunic “Sunset” was made using the RVO crochet technique.
RVO = Raglan from the top.
It’s worked in one piece, has no seams, and can be customized.

Schachenmayr’s Tahiti yarn comes in many different color gradients. The triangular shawl is crocheted from the bottom up, so you can choose the size individually.

Crochet pattern for a blanket - it starts in the middle, and we crochet in spiral rounds. For a baby blanket, I used 300 grams = 3 balls of this yarn.
