For this weekend, I’m introducing you to a few “glowing” crochet patterns.

Brand new in my shop is the crochet pattern for
Firefly Günther. For Günther’s lower body, I used glow-in-the-dark yarn. If you charge it for a while near a light source, it glows in the dark. Günther ends up about 20 cm tall and isn’t difficult to crochet.

For the
bats with glowing eyes, however, you’ll need a string of lights. You can crochet the bats from leftover black cotton yarn and attach them to the string of lights. Hung in the window for Halloween, they look pretty spooky.

Speaking of spooky: For this
Halloween lantern, an empty jam jar is crocheted around with a skull pattern. A string of lights or an LED tea light goes inside. My grandson, who likes things a little creepy, keeps this decoration in his room even during the rest of the year.
